2-minute overview
Kineologist PITCH · Scientist
Pitching biomechanics from motion capture to deterministic evidence.
Kineologist PITCH combines an easy-to-run analysis pipeline with deep biomechanical visualization, automatically generated reporting, scientific plots and user-configurable controls. Run the analysis once, then inspect the movement and evidence at the depth the investigation requires.

01
Pipeline
From BVH or FBX motion to subject and baseline analysis in one run.
BVH and FBX motion are supported today, with C3D support in development. Load the subject and approved reference takes, select the PITCH pipeline and run the analysis.
Kineologist can automatically construct the reference baseline and applies the same analysis process to the subject and reference, creating a consistent basis for direct and comparative review.

02
Visualization
Inspect native timing and phase-aligned movement in the same analysis environment.
The software automatically derives the principal PITCH phase markers together with the separate STRIDE event, and supports motion-derived muscle proxy visualization for sequencing review.
The original baseline preserves native timing differences. The phase-locked baseline aligns equivalent movement phases so rotational and positional behaviour can be compared despite differences in overall execution time.
Motion-derived muscle values are kinematic proxies, not EMG measurements.

03
Reporting
Move from concise findings to deep biomechanical evidence.
Coach, Scientist, Muscle and Master reports provide different levels of review from concise communication to deep technical inspection.
The Scientist Report expands the findings into detailed scientific evidence, including direct and comparative rule outcomes, full pitch mechanics, full-body valgus kinematic profiling, baseline-relative interpretation, data-quality evidence and explicit timing and magnitude deltas.
The same analysis can therefore be communicated at different levels of technical depth without changing the underlying evidence.

04
Plots
Review key telemetry in a familiar scientific plot format.
PLOTS exposes selected movement telemetry as clean scientific curves for closer inspection. Key channels and comparative behaviour can be reviewed in a familiar MATLAB-style presentation for precise biomechanical review.
The plot layer provides a direct route from a report finding back to the numerical movement evidence behind it.

05
Lexicon and thresholds
Fine-tune the science and the language to the deployment.
Threshold values and severity bands are user-configurable so the scientist can work with the coach to tune analytical strictness for the relevant athlete population, subject type, programme and capture context.
The Lexicon Editor controls how the resulting evidence is communicated. Together, the two layers allow the scientific configuration and outward language to be adapted to a bespoke delivery format while the underlying analysis remains traceable.

06
Artifacts
Every analysis leaves an inspectable evidence trail.
Kineologist is artifact-driven: the analysis produces deterministic outputs that can be inspected independently of the interface.
Structured CSV evidence, BVH motion derivatives, HTML reports and generated analysis artifacts provide a persistent technical record for validation, downstream review and repeatable comparison.
